TAKE 2018 will take place in Poznań, 5th most populated city in Poland with over half-a-million residents. Poznań is situated in the most economically developed region of Poland, closer to Berlin than to Warsaw. Poznanians can be counted on - they are well-educated, competent and welcoming. The people of this metropolis also stand out in terms of their spirit of enterprise, renowned for generations. The city is focused on achieving success, grounded on a 1000-year tradition of competence. The state of Poland was born in Poznań.

Poznań has one of the most beautifully located regatta courses in the world and hosts one of the largest street races in Europe- the Poznań Marathon. Major international events hosted here include: Malta Festival - the biggest theatre festival in Poland, Dancing Poznań - which has been attracting dancers from all over the world for 17 years and the Made in Chicago Festival - the only festival of the Chicago Jazz School in Europe.

The Poznan University of Economics and Business is one of the oldest, most prestigious schools of economics in Poland. Since 1926, we have been continually developing higher education and ensuring high quality of scientific studies and constant development of research infrastructure. We prepare numerous economic expert reports and implement innovative projects. High-quality education, which we have provided for years, allows our students and graduates to successfully face the challenges of a dynamic labour market.

TAKE 2018 SCIENTIFIC OBJECTIVES

The International Scientific Conference devoted to the Multidisciplinary Study of the Knowledge Economy

To analyze the relation between the theory and the applications the economy of the 21st century.

To understand how to improve the management of  the knowledge based economy we live in. 

To analyze the today’s economy putting together contributions for various scientific perspectives that study Intangibles and that usually don’t mix namely Human Resource Development, Knowledge Management, Intellectual Capital.

To support PhD students, companies and organizations managing Intangibles in the Knowledge economy. For doing so we have a Doctoral Workshop, a Practiccioners track, a track devoted to SMEs, another to Business Models and an Incubator.

To deal with specific problems we felt are decisive in the economy as Competitiveness, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

To analyze specific sectors that are at the heart of the economic live like the Public Sector, and Logistics.

To analyze the case of specific countries, and not only  in the developed OECD countries but also in the BRICs

We consider the knowledge economy a broad spectrum which includes things as diverse as described by the 17 standing streams and therefore we welcome really contributions in all these fields.

THE TEAM

For this conference we have gathered together a team of 19 scholars from 11 countries (Austria, Canada, Croatia, Finland,  Germany, Poland, Portugal, Romania, South Africa, Sweden and USA), that will assure the development of 17 streams, in different areas of the topic Theory and Applications in the Knowledge Economy.

 

Ph.D. Eduardo Tomé 

Works in Universidade Europeia in Lisbon, Portugal and has worked in several Portuguese private universities. He published 24 papers in peer-reviewed Journals and presented 48 papers in international conferences. He also authored 3 book chapters.

Ph. D. Blazenka Knezevic

The associate professor at University of Zagreb, Faculty of Economics and Business, Croatia.  She participated in various international and numerous professional research projects.  She has published more than 40 papers in conference proceedings, books and academic journals. 

Ph.D. Szymon Truskolaski

CEO of Doji Educational Innovations and the originator of the economic simulation game  "Coffee Noir". Lecturer at the University of Economics in Poznan. Expert in design tools, their use in business practice and education.

Ph.D. Justyna Majewska

Lecturer at University of Economics in Poznan and researcher at Doji Educational Innovations. Her research goal is to identify the determinants of tourism destinations development and to recommend directions of tourism policy at different levels of governance.

THE PROGRAMME COMMITEE

The Programme Commitee consists of the conference keynote speakers and stream leaders. The stream leader(s) are responsible for organizing and managing the blind peer-review process within the particular conference stream. The conference papers are peer-reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. The Programme Commitee is responsible to maintain high ethical standards regarding the peer-review process.
